Welcome to our farm, our kitchen, our life! It all looks much different than we imagined 3 years ago when we started, but here we are. All of this started with an empty field, an idea of making our farm profitable on a small scale, and sharing our farm life with others. And MossflowerAbbey Farm was born.
We broke ground (literally) in the fall two years ago and planted our first apple trees. Then came the really big fence to keep the deer from eating our young trees.
The next fall we planted more trees! And last spring saw our first blossoms. All of which had to be removed to give the trees time to grow. Sad, but exciting.
While we wait for our trees to mature and produce apples, we are busy with many other projects for our farm.
Part of our plan was for a certified home kitchen which we could use to bake items for sale. While some of our baked goods would come from our apples, there were many other goodi
es we wanted to offer. And in the spring of 2020 we opened MossflowerAbbey Kitchen. As you browse through the foods we offer, know that many of these are family favorites that we share with you. We hoped to have events planned on the farm for visitors to experience our farm life and share it with us. Hopefully in the next year that will happen. In another year we should have apples for sale. This year of pandemic and quarantine has slowed us down, but not stopped progress! We look forward to being able to say come visit us, take time to sit on the porch, sample our wares, pick our apples, and savor the farm life we treasure.
