CHAMPIONS AND COMMUNITY DAY for BRAIN INJURY
and STORY I’LL TELL EVENT

Champions are those with personal experience with brain injury.

We will give recognition to all Champions attending the event. And 
help us Honor and acknowledge our participants that are Law enforcement, 1st Responders, Warriors in Military service or Veterans, and Champions.

For Brain Injury survivors (Champions) and their friends and family and the Community
LOCATION: MOSS FLOWER ABBEY: Locust, NC (near Charlotte).

Everyone welcome: Bring a talent, your art, your story and your family/friends. Come for all or part of the day or spend the night in the area with friends, or at a hotel. There is a bakery, growing apple orchard, chickens, a cat, and a horse, a fire pit, a porch with rocking chairs, woods, a stream, and wide open spaces.


SPORTS AND COMPETTION: There will be sports competitions for Champions in croquet, horseshoes, and corn hole, and more….with recognition medals. Come ready to participate and have some fun.
TRIVIA, AND TALENT: This event will start with group trivia by Hill Collins of Cloo Croo. (https://cloocroo.net/) Please plan to come to the farm and share your talents. You can read a story, share a skill, show your art…and you will be able to sell some of your work if desired. Come ready to share a talent or skill.
STORY I’LL TELL: Members of this weekly writing group, including new and ‘old’ survivors, will be sharing some of their writing and reflections to inspire and encourage each other and you. https://storyilltell.com/
COMMUNITY VENDORS: There will be booths for community vendors for $30 each. We hope these vendors can sell their goods and learn more about brain injury and resources available. Contact: slkopp2@gmail.com
FOOD and DRINK: Bring food and drink or purchase something at the event. There will be pastries, bread, scones, cookies and more from Moss Flower Bakery, Water, a Food truck (BBQ, Hot dogs, Hamburgers, drinks)
RESOURCES: Learn about other resources that could be helpful for someone with a brain injury/stroke. NOT TO BRING: Please no pets (Bakery on site) and no Covid symptom (To protect others)
