Caring for the Carer: With every sunrise bringing in the promise

Exciting News! The 3rd quarter Caring for the Carer workshop date has been announced, it will be September 7, 2023. Caring for the Carer Support Group of Charlotte and MossflowerAbbey Farm are doing important work in supporting caregivers. A one-day workshop will be presented to caregivers with the resources and information they need to care for themselves and their loved ones.

The topics that will be covered in the workshop:

  • Caregiver Emotional Brain Trauma: Causes, Effects, and Care for Family Caregivers.
  • Planning to Live.
  • Caregiver Low Energy Release and Repair.
  • Open discussion for the attendees that includes their questions, advise and share their experiences.

The workshop will also include time for journaling, having quiet time before leaving and relaxing. It will be a great opportunity for caregivers to learn from each other and share their experiences, questions and advice.  I’m sure the workshop will be a valuable resource for caregivers wherever you are in your journey as a caregiver. We hope you’ll consider attending!

Here are some additional details about the workshop:

We welcome back Dr. Patricia (Kay) Reyna EdD as the speaker for the workshop as she gives her insight and shares her experiences in caregiving.  We are also adding the number of sessions during this workshop while keeping the total time to minimal extent so not to over burden those needing to go back home.  Even though sessions of the workshop will complete around 2:45P, everyone is invited to stay longer and continue conversations or to take some time to relax before leaving. We truly welcome you to stay as long as you would like.

Dinner will be offered to all attendees and their friends on Wednesday evening. If you are spending the night at the Farm or live close by, plan to have dinner with us. Dinner is not limited to just attendees as you may have a friend or family member that would like to join us for dinner. It is a great time for discussion. And the fire pit will be open after dinner. There will be a small charge for the dinner.
