Caring for the Carer: Rebuilding Relationships Connections after TBI

The first 2024 workshop at MossflowerAbbey Farm will begin with the focus on Heart and Relationships after TBI and then focus on exploring Our hearts desires and mapping a daily positivity plan. This workshop is for you, the Caregiver.

Traumatic brain injury can disrupt an individual’s emotional connections and leave them and the caregiver struggling to cope with the aftermath of the injury. Healing involves addressing the emotional and psychological effects of the injury, as well as rebuilding connections with loved ones. This can involve a range type of help, including therapy, support groups, and other resources aimed at promoting emotional well-being and healthy relationships. By working towards healing and rebuilding connections, individuals caring for TBI survivors can move forward and regain a sense of normalcy in their lives. In this workshop we will look at how to rebuild, grow and sustain loving relationships following TBI.

In order to cultivate a more positive outlook on life, it is important to first identify our deepest desires and aspirations. By exploring our heart’s desires, we can gain a better understanding of what truly brings us joy and fulfillment. Once we have a clear picture of our innermost desires, we can then create a daily positivity plan embracing love, purpose and hope  that aligns with these aspirations. This daily plan may include activities such as meditation, journaling, exercise, spending time in nature, or connecting with loved ones. By incorporating these positive habits into our daily routine, we can begin to shift our mindset towards a more optimistic and fulfilling perspective. With consistent effort and dedication, we can transform our lives and manifest our heart’s desires.
