2023 Champion and Community Day

The 1st Annual Champion and Community Day (2023) event was a resounding success, marked by a great participation by the Champions that displayed their artistic abilities, sharing of books written by Champions and articles that have been written by Champions and the competitiveness in games. And make no mistake there was stiff competition in the games. And there was a great sense of excitement among all that attended the event.

The day began with rain but that did not dampen the spirit of anyone. The rain ended early and from the moment the rain stopped completely, everything fell seamlessly into place.   Attendees were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere, setting the tone for what would be a memorable day. New friends were made, stories were told, and we saw why we call the participants Champions. Even though they are survivors they are so much more. They are Champions, they have not given up and continue their journey after a traumatic brain injury.
Ultimately, the success of the day was not measured by the numbers alone, but by the smiles on the faces of those who attended and the sense of fulfillment that enveloped us all. It was a testament to the power of  dedication, and the collective pursuit of a common goal. As the as the day came a close we couldn’t help but feel a profound sense of accomplishment, knowing that this event day was a resounding success in every way imaginable.

Thank you to the Champions that came out, the families that were here, and the dedicated volunteers that helped plan, coordinate and participate to ensured that everyone had a great time. So we say good-bye to our new found friends for now. We will see you all in the spring.
